Lisa Coy is a dedicated to enhancing practices in child welfare and behavioral health. As the Assistant Director of the Just in Time Training Network within the Department of Children and Families at the University of South Florida, Mrs. Coy serves a national child welfare audience by facilitating easily accessible information and online training for resource parents across five contracted states. Mrs. Coy previously held the role of Assistant Director at The Center for Child Welfare, also at the University of South Florida-Tampa.
Mrs. Coy’s dedication also includes involvement in numerous program evaluations, and currently serves as the Project Manager for Florida's FFPSA Evaluation. Previously. she has also served on various program evaluations and research projects such as the National Institute of Justice's STOP Program Grantee Perspectives on Violence Prevention and Mental Health Training Program Implementation Evaluation, Florida's Child Welfare Pre-Service Training Evaluation, and The Analysis of Florida's Behavioral Health System: A Focus on Three Counties. These contributions highlight her commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous improvement within the field.
With a background rooted in service and expertise prior joining the University of South Florida in 2007, Mrs. Coy gained invaluable experience within the Florida child welfare system, holding various roles that ranged from direct engagement with children and families to supervision and operations. Through her diverse experiences, Mrs. Coy brings a wealth of knowledge and a steadfast commitment to improving outcomes for children and families within the child welfare system.
